WILDLIFE OF THE ROCKIES
Never forget returning from a great day out in the Rockies with Sundog tours . We were travelling along the Icefields parkway admiring the scenery when our driver slammed on the breaks and reversed like
a racing driver. We thought to ourselves WHAT THE HELL HAS HE HIT.
Then at the top of his voice came OH SHIT BALD EAGLE. Our driver Fred had spotted the bird on the top of a tree . You could see the passion Fred had for the wild life .
Here are some of the wildlife Bairdstravel viewed while touring Western Canada. While in Jasper wildlife was closeby.

BALD EAGLE
The Bald Eagle is a large bird, with a body length of 70–102 centimeters (28–40 in), a wingspan of 180–234 centimeters (71–92 in), and a mass of 2.5–7 kilograms (5.5–15 lb); females are about 25 percent larger than males. It is the second largest raptor in North America, after the Golden Eagle. It hunts fish by swooping down and snatching the fish out of the water with its talons. It is sexually mature at four years or five years of age. In the wild, Bald Eagles can live up to thirty years, and often survive longer in captivity.

CANADA GOOSE
The Canada Goose (Branta canadensis) is a wild goose belonging to the genus Branta, which is native to Arctic and temperate regions of North America, having a black head and neck, white patches on the face, and a brownish-gray body. It is quite often called the Canadian Goose, but that name is not strictly correct. MARMOT SQUIRREL
