 AROUND THE WORLD IN 22DAYS

Hi my name is James Murdoch and I was born and bred  in Kilmarnock Scotland I work beside Dougie in Band M Steels in the South side of Glasgow.

When Dougie asked me if I would like to do a  peice for his website I wonderedwhat would be of interest for travellers  browsing the net.
After much thought I decided on  my 1996 holiday

Yes, I beat Jules Verne  and was faster than Michael Palin round the world BUT I did have the luxury of a British Airways Round the World Air ticket.

Well after months of  planning I was off .Left the home of the world famous Killie Pie on to Glasgow Airport to take the shuttle down to London . Not much time at Heathrow as I change planes. After a long tiring flight I arrive in

Singapore is a modernized island nation located in South East Asia between Malaysia and Indonesia. Despite its small land area, it is home to more than 3 million people.
There was three sections  of Singapore - Chinatown, the historic Malay area and Little India - represent this cosmopolitan city-state's main ethnicities. It was crowded city of high-rises, museums, historic buildings and shopping malls, .  Varied dining and entertainment choices were clustered on wharfs (quays) along the Singapore River.

Next stop Australia

MELBOURNE No I did not stay in Ramsay street  with NEAH BOARS  Stayed with relatives
played a few rounds of golf . GREAT STUFF
Melbourne is the capital of the State of Victoria and the second largest city in Australia. Melbourne's charm lies in the magnificently preserved Victorian architecture of its many public buildings and gracious homes. main highlights were  suburbs of South Yarra and Toorak and finally to the Westgate Bridge for panoramic views of Port Phillip Bay. Melbourne is perhaps best known for its fine parks and gardens,

SYDNEY
Traveled down to Sydney capital of the state of New South Wales, Sydney one of the largest and most beautiful harbours in the world, home to the instantly recognisable Sydney Harbour Bridge and world famous architectural wonder - the Sydney Opera House. In the morning I took  a sightseeing tour will take you through the commercial and shopping heart of Sydney. Opera House and Harbour Bridge. I enjoyed a cruise around the main harbour, offering magnificent views of the city skyline, harbour side beaches and magnificent waterfront homes.

HAWAII
I loved the place and what a time I had  .
Home to the world’s most active volcano and the world’s tallest sea mountain. Birthplace of surfing and the hula.   But perhaps Hawaii’s most unique feature is its Aloha Spirit: the warmth of the people of Hawaii that wonderfully complements the Islands’ perfect temperatures.
There are  six major islands in Hawaii: Kauai, Oahu, Molokai, Lanai, Maui, and Hawaii’s Big island. ,
I stayed at the Sky Court Hotel on main Island.
On the 1ST NIGHT I decided to go to see a magician show .At the show  I was invited to join  a group of
American/Swedish holidaymakers. Magic .The was just the trick . The following days I ended up ----------
--CANOEING
--SKYDIVING
--SWIMMING WITH DOLPHINS
--PARAGLIDING
--SURFING
 visited  Pearl Harbour
Really enjoyed my time in Hawaii  Not enough space to tell you
HAVE A LOOK AT FILM BELOW

AFTER HAWAII OF TO LA

I stayed in Orange county with Family  . I done the usual tourist things
Hollywood, the Hollywood Sign and Mann`s Chinese theatre
.

Went to Beverly Hills and Bel-Air, to see the homes of the stars  but what  did I SEE BUT  BIG WALLS
Then on to the Sunset Strip and see such infamous locales as The Whiskey A Go Go, Johnny Depp's notorious Viper Room, then the   world famous Rodeo Drive to see the stores where the rich and famous shop, including Bijan, Gucci, Prada, Harry Winston Jewelers, and the Regent Beverly Wilshire Hotel featured in "Pretty Woman."   A bit of a let down .

Homeward Bound
Very long flight back to uk .

That`s it folk thanks for taking the time to read  AROUND THE WORLD IN 28 DAYS
