FOOTBALL STADIUMS OF WORLD
Here are a few of Bairdstravel`s favourite football stadiums he has visited over the last few years. There in no order. Just a few photo`s of some great times watching the greatist game in the world. If you would like to add your favourite park contact Bairdstravel.

My favourite stadium. Santiago Bernabeu is the world famous home of Real Madrid football club. The Estadio Santiago Bernabéu is located in the Paseo de la Castellana, in the Chamartín district. It occupies the block bounded by the Paseo de la Castellana and the streets of Concha Espina, Padre Damián, and Rafael Salgado. The stadium has its own Madrid Metro station along the 10 line called Santiago Bernabéu.

The Camp Nou Catalan for "new field"), often erroneously called the "Nou Camp" (in both Spanish and English) is a football stadium in Barcelona, Spain. The stadium has been the home of FC Barcelona since its construction in 1957. It is a UEFA 5-star rated stadium, and has hosted numerous international matches at senior level, and UEFA Champions League finals, the most recent being in 1999. It has a capacity of 98,772, making it the largest stadium in Europe, and the eleventh largest in the world. Its official name was Estadi del FC Barcelona (FC Barcelona Stadium) until 2000, when the club membership voted to change the official name to the popular nickname, Camp Nou
GB FULHAM LONDON
Craven Cottage is the name of a sports stadium in the Hammersmith and Fulham area that has been the home ground of the association football team Fulham F.C. since 1896. The capacity of the stadium was increased to 25,500 following cosmetic repairs. Fulham's highest all-seated attendance to date of 25,661 was recorded in their 0-1 defeat against Liverpool on Saturday 4 April 2009.
GFGC SPARTA PRAGUE
AC Sparta Prague (Czech: AC Sparta Praha) is a top Czech football club.
It is the most successful club in the Czech Republic. Sparta was long the main source for the Czech Republic national football team, however lately this has ceased to be the case, as the best Czech players almost all now play in higher-paying foreign leagues. There are a number of outstanding players who have played for the Sparta over the years
GFGC OLYMPIC STADIUM BERLIN
The Olympiastadion (Olympic Stadium) is a sports stadium in Berlin. There have been two stadia on the site: the present facility, and one that was built for the aborted 1916 Summer Olympics. Both were designed by members of the same family, the first by Otto March and the second by his son Werner March.
The current Olympiastadion was originally built for the 1936 Summer Olympics in the southern part of the Reichssportfeld (today Olympiapark Berlin). During World War II, the area suffered little damage. After the war, the United Kingdom military occupation used the northern part of the Reichssportfeld as its headquarters until 1994.
Aside from its use as an Olympic stadium, the Olympiastadion has a strong footballing tradition. Historically, it is the ground of club Hertha BSC Berlin. It was also used for 3 matches in the 1974 FIFA World Cup. It hosted six matches, including the final, in the 2006 FIFA World Cup and was renovated for that reason. The German Cup final match is held each year at the Olympiastadion in Berlin.

HIGHBURY ARSENAL OLD STADIUM
Arsenal Stadium was a football stadium in Highbury, North London, which was the home ground of Arsenal Football Club between 6 September 1913 and 7 May 2006. It was popularly known as Highbury due to its location and was given the affectionate nickname of "The Home of Football" by the club.It was originally built in 1913 on the site of a local college's recreation ground and has been significantly redeveloped twice. The first came in the 1930s, from which the Art Deco East and West Stands date; the second in the late 1980s and early 1990s following the Taylor Report, during which the terraces at both ends of the pitch were removed, making it all-seater with four stands. The resulting reduction in capacity and matchday revenue eventually led to Arsenal opting to build the Emirates Stadium nearby, to which they moved in 2006. Currently, Highbury is undergoing redevelopment to turn it into an apartment complex, with most of the stadium being demolished; parts of the East and West Stands will remain to be incorporated into the new development.

STUTTGART
As in the rest of Germany, football is the most popular sport in Stuttgart which is home to 'The Reds' and 'The Blues'. 'The Reds', VfB Stuttgart, are the most famous and popular local club. An established team in the German Bundesliga, VfB was founded in 1893 and has won five German titles since 1950, mostly recently in 1992 and 2007. VfB is based at the Mercedes-Benz Arena in Bad Cannstatt.
ULLEVI STADIUM GOTHENBURG SWEDEN
Ullevi , Ullevi Stadium or Nya Ullevi as it is referred to by the inhabitans, meaning New Ullevi, to distinguish it from Gamla Ullevi, is a stadium in Gothenburg, Sweden. The stadium is also the biggest in Scandinavia. It was opened in 1958, its original use was as a venue for the 1958 World Cup. Since then, it has hosted numerous sports events, notably football, athletics, speedway and speed skating. It has an all-seated capacity of 43,000 and a total capacity of 60,000 for concerts.
The record attendance for football is 52,194 and was set on 3 June 1959, when IFK Göteborg played Örgryte IS. The record for any event is 64,312 (including field-level seating) for a Bruce Springsteen concert on 8 June 1985. The 1985 concert became legendary because Springsteen - with the help of a very enthusiastic audience - almost rocked the stadium to pieces, literally. As the city rests on a layer of clay, the rhythmic movement of tens of thousands of people was close to causing a structural collapse. Even though Bruce Springsteen has made several more visits since, it is unlikely he will manage to repeat his feat as the concrete pillars supporting the stadium have since been extended down to solid bedrock. The record for the stadium after being partially rebuilt was set by Swedish rock band Gyllene Tider on 7 August 2004, with an attendance of 58,977. Also, British heavy metal band Iron Maiden filmed their concert here in 2005, and have filled the venue at several times. During the 1980s, the stadium played host to the 1983 Uefa Cup Winners Cup final which saw Aberdeen beat Real Madrid 2-1 after extra time.

OSLO
Ullevaal Stadium, located in Oslo, is Norway's national football ground. The Norwegian Cup final is played at Ullevaal. The stadium is the home ground of FC Lyn Oslo and Vålerenga IF, and is owned by the Football Association of Norway (NFF) and Vital Forsikring.
The stadium currently has a capacity of 25,572, down from its peak capacity of around 35,000. The stadium saw its largest attendance ever for an international game in 1935 when Norway played Sweden in front of 35,495 spectators. Lyn's record attendance of 35,000 was set against Sarpsborg in the semifinal of the 1946 Norwegian Cup, a game for which so many people turned up that thousands were left standing outside. Estimates suggest as many as 60,000 people may have followed the game in and around the stadium.
