THE CLIFFS OF MOHER
The Cliffs of Moher (Irish: Aillte an Mhothair, lit. cliffs of the ruin, also known as the Cliffs of Mohair) are located in the parish of Liscannor at the south-western edge of the Burren area near Doolin, which is located in County Clare, Ireland.
The cliffs rise 120 meters (394 ft) above the Atlantic Ocean at Hag's Head (Irish: Ceann na Cailleach), and reach their maximum height of 214 meters (702 ft) just north of O'Brien's Tower, eight kilometres away. The cliffs boast one of Ireland's most spectacular views. On a clear day the Aran Islands are visible in Galway Bay, as are the valleys and hills of Connemara.

Below are photographs from Gordon and Elaine`s trip to County Clare in Southern Ireland .

County Clare
Bodies of water define much of the physical boundaries of Clare. To the southeast is the River Shannon which is Ireland's longest river, the border to the northeast is defined by Lough Derg which is the third largest lake on Ireland and to the west is the Atlantic Ocean. The only county which is physically connected to Clare by land is County Galway to the north, however there are several across-water bridges which connects it to eastwards County Tipperary and southwards County Limerick. Along with County Cork, County Kerry, County Waterford, County Limerick and County Tipperary, County Clare is part of Munster which is one of the four traditional provinces of Ireland.

Situated on the West Coast of Ireland this purpose built centre caters to the specific needs of each of the birds that we house here. In the viewing area a unique space has been created for each species. Every enclosure is specially designed to mimic the natural habitat of the bird. The nursery houses a climate controlled incubator and other vital equipment for breeding purposes. All of which is within the Aillwee Cave complex, another great attraction to be enjoyed.
