Thousands of performers from all around the world took part in London's spectacular annual New Year's Day Parade. The Parade celebrates its 23rd Anniversary in 2009, of bringing extraordinary entertainment to thousands of people every year. Marching bands and dance troupes from the United States, and Continental Europe joined a host of home grown talent on January 1st 2009.
As Big Ben strikes 12 noon, the streets of Central London filled with music, merriment and laughter as the New Year's Day Parade – London welcomes the New Year. Free for all the family – there’s no better place to be. Arrive early to get a good viewpoint or treat yourself to a seat in one of the grandstands that line the route
