Oban Caravan & Camping Park
Bairdstravel stayed three nights in Lodge 1 during the Easter holidays 2010. We had a very good time and enjoyed the freedom that the lodge gave us . These lodges are very modern . The park is out of town but you can drive into town in about 15 mins. The settings is great and the chickens,hens and ducks make you most welcome.
Camp,caravan or selfcater this is a great home from home.
Gallanachmore campsite
Gallanachmore covers 340 acres set by the sea with magnificent views to the Island of Kerrera. The site offers all the charm and tranquillity of a truly rural setting - guests may feel they are a million miles away from the bustle of modern life, but just two and a half miles down the road is the delightful centre of Oban with its shops, restaurants and many other facilities.
OUR HOME WHILE IN OBAN
Highland Welcome - Oban itself boasts all the facilities you'd expect from a popular visitor centre. There is an 18 hole golf course, cinema, bars, restaurants and shopping - look out for tweed mill bargains! A summer evening stroll along the fishing pier is a popular pastime for many visitors, or walk along the Esplanade and look at the visiting yachts. Most of all, relax and enjoy the gentle pace of West Highland life and the friendliness of the people.
FARM COTTAGE
2 Bedroom Cottage -
Sleeps 4 people - This is a 2 bedroomed cottage with 2 double bedrooms (Please note that they are both doubles, not a double and a twin) The cottage has been recently refurbished with a new bathroom with bath and shower, new bedroom furniture and has new carpets throughout. We have recently built a large balcony/decking area outside the cottage which is equipped with picnic table and chairs. The cottage is electric only (no gas) which is metered with a £1 coin meter. We regret that no pets are permitted in the cottage. The cottage is non-smoking.
LODGE 1
2 bedroom standard lodge -
This is a detached lodge with 1 x double bedroom, 1 x twin bedroom and a sofa bed in the lounge. Six people can be accommodated, however it is ideally suited for four people. Lodge 1 has a bathroom with a shower (no bath), WC and wash basin. There is a well equipped kitchen and a spacious living room and dining area with patio doors opening out onto a large balcony with panoramic sea views. This lodge has electricity only which is metered with a £1 coin meter. We regret that no pets are permitted in Lodge 1. This lodge is non-smoking.
LODGE 2
2 bedroom luxury lodge: (Brand new in June 2009) -
This is a detached lodge with 1 x double bedroom which has an en suite shower room with shower, WC and wash basin. There is also 1 x twin bedroom and a sofa bed in the lounge. Lodge 2 also has a main bathroom with bath & shower, WC and wash basin. There is a well equipped kitchen and a spacious living room and dining area with patio doors opening out onto a large balcony with panoramic sea views. This lodge has gas and electricity which are included in the price of the hire. We regret that no pets are permitted in Lodge 2. This lodge is non-smoking.
LODGE 3
3 bedroom luxury lodge: (Brand new in June 2009) -
This is a detached lodge with 1 x double bedroom, 2 x twin bedroom and a sofa bed in the lounge. Eight people can be accommodated, however it is ideally suited for six people. Lodge 3 has a bathroom with a bath, shower, WC and wash basin. Lodge 3 has an additional room with WC & wash basin. There is a well equipped kitchen and a spacious living room and dining area with patio doors opening out onto a large balcony with panoramic sea views. This lodge has gas and electricity which are included in the price of the hire. We regret that no pets are permitted in Lodge 3. This lodge is non-smoking.
Provide duvets and pillows but you are required to bring your own bed linen, towels and kitchen cloths.
