New Year’s Eve in London
London is one of the best places to be on New Year's Eve, with pubs and restaurants, bars and clubs open well into the night rights across the capital. Most pubs and bars are ticketed, offering music, food and later opening hours whilst theatres, night clubs and other venues, often feature special guests to welcome in the New Year.
There are also countless house parties all across the city, and many people choose to bring in the New Year at home, with family and friends.
London’s largest firework celebration has been an annual event on the South Bank of the river Thames in central London. Since 2003, the main focal point has been the London Eye, with a spectacular display marking the midnight moment.
