LOCH ARKLET
Loch Arklet is a wonderful place to stop on route to Inversnaid . Which is on the east bank of Loch Lomond. Every season is different but winter I feel is special. Please watch the road from Aberfoyle. This is one of our favourite breaks on the way to Inversnaid. Great views of the loch with the Arrocher Alps in the background.
We have returned again June 2010 this time with the family.Stopping for a few minutes to catch the beuti of the loch and mountains . Scroll down to see the Summer photographs.

Loch Arklet is a small loch lying between Loch Katrine to the East and Loch Lomond to the West. To get there you must take the Inversnaid road from Aberfoyle, a number of miles after Kinlochard you will come to a T junction, turn left for Inversnaid. Loch Arklet is the Loch on your left. There is a picturesque walk along the river from Loch Arklet to Loch Lomond (steep in places).
From Inversnaid go to the south of the hotel and you will see a waterfall (on the West Highland Way). This is spectacular when in spate. After the footbridge there is a path leading to viewpoints between here and the Dam at Loch Arklet.
Great place to stop and enjoy the peace and quiet for a moment . After a while you will hear a car coming in the distance. The mountains in the background are the Arrocher Alps . After Loch Achlet head round to the small hamlet of Inversnaid . Where you can see the wonderful Loch Lomond.
Loch Arklet is 12 miles from Aberfoyle on the B829 road, heading towards Inversnaid and Stronachlachar. The loch is 2.5 miles long and 0.5 miles wide.
Every season changes the mood of wonderful Loch Arklet
