DAYTRIP TO INVERSNAID 2012
Jan 2012
First almost dry day of the new year we decided to visit one of my favourite day trips in Scotland. We had two hurricanes, rain, sleet and snow this winter. The roads were bad due to the adverse weather. Below is a pictorial diary of our day. The Inversnaid falls were
stunning. The waterfalls were as fast flowing as I had ever seen.
We left around noon from our base in Clydebank . Along the Stockimuir road to just before Dryman . Pass through Aberfoyle till we get to the lochs. Chon then stunning Arklet. Arklet is a great place to stop for a picnic in the summer. Great views down to the Arrocher alps . We turn left to arrive at the other end of Loch Katrine.
Stronachlachar tearoom was closed for the winter. Great soup served there.
The views are great here .Right down Katrine. After a brief stop we travel along the side of Loch Arklet . Beautiful area of Scotland . After a short drive we arrive in Inversnaid.
