STEVIE AND DEBS IN THE SCOTTISH HIGHLANDS
Stevie and Debs headed north for a winter break away . They left their home in Renfrew and two hours later they were in one of the most beautiful valleys in the world . Glencoe is not only a holiday centre for hillwalking and mountaineering, it is also an ideal base from which to explore the Highlands of Scotland. The Menzies stayed at the Clachaig Inn, Glencoe .
Which provides modern comfortable accommodation which is complimented with a traditional hearty Scottish breakfast - a really great way to start the day! Stevie loved the Scottish favourite Haggis.

The hotel has 23 fully modernised bedrooms with en suite facilities; the accommodation offers a choice of double, twin and family rooms. All bedrooms have shower and toilet facilities, with some having a bath as well. Many of the bedrooms enjoy magnificent views of the Glencoe mountains and all are designated 'non smoking'. Bairdstravel had enjoyed a great night in the boots bar a few years back
the Boots Bar. I loved the place .

Unique is the word that comes to mind. The huge dusty real fire set amidst log piles and rough slates on the floor provide an indication of what to expect. An old tree trunk which seems to be part of the structure and a huge bar top set on a long row of
barrels give a few further clues. You'll often find the Boots Bar full of hillwalkers, skiers, kayakers and climbers, chatting about their day out just passed, and enthusiastically planning their next.
The atmosphere at Clachaig is legendary, and is known throughout the world. The inn, located right in the heart of Glencoe has three lively bars where good food is served throughout the day. Local venison, prime Scotch beef and Scottish salmon are popular favourites. Imaginative, mouth watering, vegetarian dishes are also featured daily.
