GB`s America bound
CHAPTER 1. THE START
I am about to embark on hopefully the most exciting and amazing journey of my life. After my wife left me ( still bit bitter haha ) on March 2007.
I have always wanted to tour the United States of America in some way or another. I had thought at the time that if I could have sold my house and then toured over the USA then that would have been fine but as life goes then thing do not turn out the way as planned and i never took up the challange. I have now decided though that the time is either now or never and I will be making the journey ( some say a foolish decision ) and will be starting on Friday 27th August 2010 and although in the end it may well be a follish decision there has been a deep wanting or passion which is driving me forward and I know its now or never for this trip.
I will be travelling by Amtrak for 30 days with my good friend George Davidson and we will be starting in the west at Chicago and travelling north/west to San Francisco then back across the midwid to end at Chicago once more before flying back home. The route we hope to travel ( although there may be a slight change in towns ) is listed below
Arrive 27/8 Friday in Chicago stay 2 nts Chicago - Illinois stay 2 nts Milwaukee - Wisconsin stay 2 nts Minnieapolis/St Paul - Minniesota stay 3 nts Glasgow - Montana stay 3 nts Portland - Oregon stay 4 nts San Francisco - California stay 2 nts Reno - Nevada stay 2 nts Salt Lake City - Utah stay 2 nts Denver - Colerado stay 3 nts Chicago - Illinois fly home 27/9 Glasgow
