     FROGNERSETEREN

We took the local train from Majorstuen [Majorstuen is a subway station on the Oslo T-bane]. The train winds its way up Oslo`s local hills . Frognerseteren is the end of the  Holmenkollbanen line .

Holmenkollen station is close to the Holmenkollen ski jump facility and skiing museum.

Please note
Ski jump retrofit

The tower's dismantling began on October 16, 2008 and will continue until December 2008 using traditional demolition techniques instead of building implosion. The lower part of the ski jump deconstruction began in September with the current start house. Implosion of the jump was not done in an effort to not impact the Ski Museum, located at the bottom of the hill. Estimated time of completion along with the hill at Midstuen is in late 2009 for test events in 2010

Below are our photo`s from our enjoyable visit to the famous  Café Seterstua .
The perfect place to enjoy Oslo’s best view and the blazing fire after a walk in the woods . They serve traditional Norwegian dishes including “rømmegrøt” sour cream porridge and their famous apple cake.
