                             BUCHANAN STREET

When I was kid growing up in the Cowcaddens I loved to adventure down Buchanan street to see where the posh people shopped. Big huge stores selling expensive items.

Buchanan Street is one of the main shopping thoroughfares in Glasgow, the largest city in Scotland. It forms the central stretch of Glasgow's famous shopping district with a generally more upmarket range of shops than its two neighbours Argyle Street, and Sauchiehall Street.

Buchanan Street is renowned for its variety in high street shopping. It is partly responsible for Glasgow being awarded the 3rd Best Place to Shop in the United Kingdom, after London and Birmingham. Here are a list of some of the popular Stores, department Stores and shopping malls that Buchanan Street has to offer.

  • Buchanan Galleries - Shopping Mall including John Lewis Department Store, H&M, River Island and many more high street brands.

  • House of Fraser - Department Store
  • Zara - Spanish High Street Clothing Store
  • HMV - DVD's, Video Games, Music and More
  • Lush (company)- Cosmestics and aromatics shop specialising in fragrant bath bombs.
  • Allsaints (clothing) - High Street retailer, specialising in unusual men and women's clothing.
  • T.G.I. Friday's - American Style Grill and Bar Restaurant
