DAY OUT AT BAMBURGH
BERWICK SEPTEMBER WEEKEND 2010
Sept 2010 Bairdstravel headed east to the Berwick holiday centre.
We have stayed in Berwick many times and always enjoy caravan holidays.
Situated in the heart of beautiful border country overlooking a beautiful beach and only a stroll from the historic border town of Berwick Upon Tweed. There's plenty to explore at Berwick upon Tweed like Holy Island Castle and Priory, the Hamlet and beautiful beaches of Bamburgh .
.

This time we stayed at no 14 the Glen which was basic but ok for our time in Berwick. This time we found the caravan very cold at night and we had to leave the cooker on to heat the van up.
Here`s some of the photographys we took on when we walked along the coast into the town centre.

Dinner Friday at the Leaping Salmon . We had the lamb which was superb . The prices are good and services is ok.
Bairdstravel was up early and walked along the coast line watching the sunrise over the eastern skies. It was cold but if you wrap up well the sea breeze is not too cold.
Berwick-upon-Tweed or simply Berwick is a town in the county of Northumberland and is the northernmost town in England, on the east coast at the mouth of the River Tweed. It is situated 2.5 miles (4 km) south of the Scottish border.
We took a day trip to Bamburgh and Sea horses . Please take a look at their webpages on the left.
