STONEYMOLLAN ROAD
Bairdstravel took the train through to Balloch. Balloch is a small town on the shores of Loch Lomond. I headed to the information bureau to see what
walks I could do in the Area. The lady in the shop was very helpful and
suggested with the time scale I had I walked the Stoneymollan road .
How to get there.
If you arrive by train . Turn left at the train station and head along the main street till you see McDonalds. At the roundabout turn right and walk past the Caravan park till you see a road on your left. That is lower Stoneymollan road . Walk from here passed the houses, over the walkway, then you at the start of the walk
This is a easy country walk with great views of Loch Lomond and the Ben .
I walked for about one hour to the top and another few miles but had to return the same route due to weather conditions. It can be very muddy at the Cardross side. Today the ice there stopped me from walking much futher and also the fear of rebreaking my injured arm.
