World of Ajax Tours
The Amsterdam ArenA offers daily walk-in tours. You do not need to make reservations. Additionally, we offer different types of World of Ajax tours, among others, for groups, party's, football associations and schools.
Departure times walk-in tours
1 July - 31 August
Daily 7 tours a day: 11 AM, 12.15PM, 1.30 PM, 2.45 PM, 4 PM, 5PM
In case you join the last walk-in tour of the day (5PM), we kindly advise you to visit the Ajax Fanshop and the Ajax Museum before the tour departs.
It has a capacity of 51,715 seats during sports matches and 68,000 places during concerts if a center-stage setup is used (the stage in the middle of the pitch); for end-stage concerts, the capacity is 50,000, and for concerts where the stage is located in the east side of the stadium, the capacity is 35,000. It held UEFA five-star stadium status which was superseded by a new system of classification.
The stadium is the home of the association football club AFC Ajax (1996–present) and was the home of the now-defunct American football club Amsterdam Admirals (1996–2007).
It was one of the stadiums used during Euro 2000. Dutch and international artists gave concerts in the ArenA, such as André Hazes and The Rolling Stones. Every year the dance event Sensation is held in the stadium.
